the fishbowl to participate in the discussion.
The discussion activity " Fishbowl"
Mr. Brown introduced us a discussion activity called " Fishbowl" . Five chairs are arranged in an inner circle,like a fishbowl. The remaining chairs are arranged in concentric circles outside the fishbowl. 4 participants were selected to fill the fishbowl, while the rest of the group sat on the chairs outside the fishbowl. One chair was left empty. Mr. gave the discussion topic, " My best/worst moment of being a teacher/student" and the participants started discussing the topic. The audience outside the fishbowl listened in on the discussion and wrote the evaluation form. When time ran out, Mr. Brown summarized the discussion and asked us to think about the issues the participant raised in their discussion.
My reflection of the activity " Fishbowl"
1. Thoughts as a participant:
I felt a bit nervous being observed and evaluated by the teacher and the
classmates. However, it was a good training for making a public speech.
2.Thoughts as an observer:
The observer can learn how do people interact with each other and get some
interesting information from people’s sharing. But, evaluating the participants will reduce the fun of listening to their sharing.
3. Thought as a teacher:
To have the evaluation/assessment from the students make the class more
student-centered and the assessment is fair since the participants's
performance is not only judged by teachers but also by the pupils.

Yesterday we were assigned to read Carol Rodgers’s Defining Reflection: Another look at John Dewy and Reflective thinking in group and today we read Howard Gardner’s Five Minds for the Future independently. In both activities, we used prediction, clarifying, summary and question as our reading strategies. Then we compared these two reading activities with the Venn diagram. Students may need to think critically to do this comparison.
Grammar correction as a warm up activity
Grammar correction as a warm up activity!? Are you kidding me? No! I am not making any joke. It is truly doable that the notorious grammar can be transferred as a lovely warm up activity. Mr. Brown demonstrated carrying out the warm up grammar correction by picking up the problematic sentence that most students may make and he had us copy the problematic sentence exactly like what he wrote on white board and asked us to find out the errors. The whole class first worked independently and after a while we worked the problematic sentence collaboratively.

Interpersonal: Know others and use information. 9. Emotional: You are aware of emotions and can use them or control them for success.(added by Golden). Ex. Get Mad once or twice a year is better to yell every time. People have a bit of every thing. Use their prefere telligence to teach inferior

want to think about: How can we balance the methods and integrate the
different intelligences? For example, how do we bring art into language
education? Or even more intelligences combination.
